Hi there! Sorry I haven't posted all week. Earlier this week I was outside, enjoying my +5 degrees runs and now it's -20 with lots of snow! When winter hits hard I have no desire to do anything, just relax and watch movies. I worked over nights this weekend which also makes me lazy! Needless to say, I haven't got too much scrapping done this week! I've been working on a layout all weekend, but I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with it yet.
So I'll show you another LO I completed last weekend. I made it with the January kit from Up the Street.
It's just a simple layout about how surprised I was at how much snow there was in Nova Scotia compared to Calgary. My dad took pictures of me in front of the snow banks in his yard and we thought it was so funny!
I jazzed up the Maya Road envelope by using an Adirondack paint dabber over mesh to create a little texture. I found some of my old beading supplies when I went home, so I brought it back to Calgary with me and used some of the beads on the LO. I think it looks pretty cool!
I know it's only 730pm, but I need to get ready for bed! I only slept for 3 hours today after I got off work at 7am! It's time to put on the flannels! I hope you stay warm too!

Cards!
On the weekend I was able to make a couple of quick cards using my kit from Up the Street . The first one called Merry January was pretty easy. The most exciting thing I did with it was use a punch, lol.
The second one, called snowflake took a little longer. I'm a perfectionist so I had to make sure that all the rectangles were the exact same size! lol! I cut out the snowflake with my cricut. I used the sketch from a challenge on Scrapbooker's Paradise blog .
Do you ever participate in challenges? If so, which ones?

I've got my mojo back!
Finally, this weekend I sat down and pumped out 2 scrapbook pages and 2 cards! I'm so excited! I got my pictures developed from my trip home last week and I found this funny picture of my me and my beautiful Aunt Lori. You would think that Lori and I are having a candid moment together, but Lori actually posed like this on purpose! LOL! She told me that she has a very expressive face, I thought that was pretty funny so that's what I called the page.

I used my kit from Up the Street . I loved these papers from Basic Grey, I wouldn't usually put these types of patterns together, but the blocks break it up a little and I think it looks really great. I cut out the frame with my Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge. I cut out 2 frames in different sizes and sprayed the bottom layer with glimmer mist and inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink. Here's a close up of the flowers I made:
These flowers are so easy to make. Watch this video from imaginisce to see how to make them. This is all I'll show you today, I'll save the cards for another day this week! Thanks for stopping by!

So here it is, my latest layout. I love the We R Memory Keepers paper and tags, but I don't really have any photos to go with it. These are a couple of cute pics that I took of Maddie and me..ahaha...I love taking pics of myself!
The title says: Celebrate enjoy every minute. I do enjoy every minute with Maddie, good or bad. She's a great dog and I'm lucky to have her in my life.Have a great weekend!

Three Things Thursday
1)I've been in a little scrapbooking slump lately. I'm not really sure why, I just got a scrapbook kit from Up the Street kits , and I also got a lot of supplies for Christmas. I think this weekend I just need to sit down and scrap.
2)I've been obsessed with the TV show Fringe lately. I started out with the first season and now I'm on the second. I watch it while I scrap. What do you do while you scrap? Do you catch up on your shows? Listen to music? Or enjoy your quiet time?
3)I finished a layout tonight. It's not my favorite, but it felt good to get it done. Stop by tomorrow, I'll share it with you then!

I've had enough flying for a long time!
I haven't blogged in a few days because I was busy flying across the country to surprise dad for his 50th birthday. I have the worst luck ever! I left Calgary at 11pm on Wednesday night and I was supposed to arrive in Halifax at 7am on Thursday, but there was a storm in Halifax and we couldn't land, so we flew back to Montreal to get gas and then back to Toronto. Then I was stuck in Toronto for the night! I was so upset! I worked 9 days in a row to get 4 days off to go home, and then I lost a day with my family. I still got to surprise dad at the airport (he thought he was flying somewhere for the weekend!), it was the best surprise ever! Here's a pic of us at the airport:
While I was at home, my kit from Up the Street came in the mail. I am so excited to play with it! Check it out! I might try to play now, so have a great evening! Thanks for stopping by!

Stuck
So I've been working on this layout for over 2 weeks now. I'm stuck! I'm not sure what I want to do with embellishments. I made some flowers from a brown paper bag (on right) but I don't think I like it for this LO. I've been checking out my usual websites for inspiration and some ideas, but I still can't seem to think of what to do with this.
The sites I get ideas from are : I think I'll clean off my desk and try working on it again sometime next week. Hopefully I can finish it soon!
What do you do when you're stuck? What sites do you go to for inspiration?

Three Things Thursday
I thought I'd share 3 of my favorite layouts this week.
1) I love this one because the photo reminds me of good times with my aunt who has since passed away. I also love the Sassafras paper and stickers. I love the crocheted flower that my co-worker made for me under the prima flower, I think they were made for each other.
2) I had so much fun making this one! I love being a little crazy and painting random patches of Distress crackle paint and flicking Glimmer mist randomly on the paper. I love the Maya Road envelope, they are so much fun and there's so many things you can do with them.
3) I really love this one because of the colors, which this photo doesn't do any justice. I think the pink orange and green look fabulous and they aren't colors I'd usually use. I love doing multi-photo layouts, sometimes I have so many photos that I love and want to use them all!
The season premier of Jersey Shore is on so I better go watch it! Haha! Have a great evening, thanks for stopping by!
